Quality of the water of the Lake of Tequesquitengo

According to the station of monitoring located to the center of the lake, in 2003 most of the certain parameters fulfill to evaluate the quality of the water with the ecological criteria for the uses public urban, agricultural irrigation and protection of the aquatic life, except the phosphate parameter. The water presents/displays a high dissolved solid concentration, which is a natural condition because it is fed mainly on the water-bearing one, that is characterized by the bicarbonated calcic type of water of high conductivity. Dissolved oxygen is moderately high in the superficial water and at heart declines its value until null values of the lake; due to the presence of an intermediate waterproof cloak (termoclima) natural that prevents the complete superficial water mixture with the one of the bottom and that at the end of the year, the devoid waters of the oxygen bottom, emerges and they are mixed with the superficial ones, they cause a considerable diminution of oxygen concentration in the superficial water, happening a massive loss of life of fish. Obtained results of the physico-chemical analysis of the quality of the water sample that this one is moderately potable; it has a high hardness (bicarbonated calcic water).
